“Monica is a skilled clinician, and an incredible trainer. She was extremely prepared and progressional when sharing her expertise with my team.”

-Angela Dunn, Behavioral Health District Coordinator at KCKPS

Educational programs and consulting for schools who care about their students’ mental health.

I’m a licensed clinician with a doctorate in educational psychology. I work with school administrators to develop and implement programming in schools to support the diverse needs of students.

Specifically, I have developed programming to address suicidality, the second leading cause of death among youth ages 10 to 14.

I am also a native Spanish speaker and bring a cross-cultural perspective to my work. I’ve helped school districts build programs to support Latino students, particularly at the intersection of culture and mental health. I’m passionate about helping students!

I welcome inquiries from educators and administrators who are interested in learning more about how I can help improve the mental health of students. Workshops are available virtually or in person.

“As a middle school principal in an urban school district, Monica was invaluable in providing and coordinating mental health services for our students and families while also providing training and education for staff.  Her expertise, professionalism and positive personality, combined with a genuine care and concern for all, make her very approachable and someone that effectively works with individuals of all ages.  We achieved many positive outcomes as a result of her partnership with our school."
