Hi, Iβm Dr. Monica!
I'm a military spouse and parent of three, and I understand the challenges of deployments, relocations, and the emotional rollercoaster of military life.
For over 15 years, Iβve studied human behavior and stress, helping parents navigate these unique struggles with confidence.
Seeing a continuous need for real, science-backed support, I created the Resilient Military Family Academyβa program that blends research with practical strategies for lasting resilience.
As an Educational Psychologist, Registered Play Therapist, and Licensed Professional Counselor, Iβve dedicated my career to helping military families thrive.
Like many families Iβve worked with, youβre not just looking for quick fixesβyou want to create strength and stability for your children.
Iβm also the founder of Reintjes Counseling and Consulting where I support Active Duty Military, their spouses, families, and federal employees.

The way that Dr. Monica broke down the research and science was super helpful.
Even something as simple as making sure that everyone is getting sleep was an often overlooked but super important aspect to deployment, and I think the impact of poor sleep is underestimated.
I also loved the scripts and the reminder to let your kids see you feel - specifically, Dr. Monica called out an example of what were to happen if your kid walked in after you were on the phone with spouse and crying - the permission to feel and invitation to let your kid see you in a vulnerable state was a great reminder.
